Stefon Diggs vs. Bills While the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots continue to dominate the news cycle, there has been little in the NFC, and even less so in the AFC, about Stefon Diggs. While not on the same level as the legends we have come to come to know – Antwaan Randle El, for instance – the Vikings wide receiver was drafted in the second round by the Vikings and is averaging 106 yards per game. He has both made the Vikings seem smarter in filling up their playoff roster with younger talent and provided a reliable source of production for Minnesota. The Bills, meanwhile, aren’t on any solid playoff path themselves and have fewer players that have even come close to matching the level of talent in Minnesota. Right now, Diggs is living up to the hype that has surrounded him in his short time in the NFL, but he is undoubtedly undervalued by the league as the Vikings expect him to remain on the field. Perhaps a trade could change that and put Buffalo on the right track to a possible wild-card spot. Diggs averages the first receiver in the NFL with an average catch rate of 80.2 percent and catches the second-most balls at the position. He averages 8.2 yards per reception but leads the NFL with an average of 17.8 yards after the catch. The Bills are a team that’s shown nothing but flashes, thanks to an under-the-radar personnel in coach Sean McDermott and rookie quarterback Josh Allen, but in Diggs, they get a high-quality talent that has the ability to make a significant impact in the game. The Bills need Diggs badly to make a deep playoff run, but after a tough loss against the Eagles this past Sunday, they are sitting at 1-5 and need help in their bid to make the postseason. Diggs made a huge play in the victory over the 49ers when he went over the middle for a 48-yard touchdown to secure the win. They will be hoping for similar heroics from him on Monday, as Diggs should get a better opportunity to shine because the team needs him to.
