Justin Timberlake, or ‘conscious consumerism’

Today’s news is coming fast and furious. There’s the news of the week, leading the way, the new video game as it’s set to release tomorrow, and all the predictions that will be revealed by the end of the year.

And, just in case you needed another reason to cancel your next gym membership and spend a few minutes in front of the TV, there’s the new coming out of Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z: “Friends Like These.”

Without getting too worked up about it, there are millions and millions of reasons for me to enjoy my life and live my dreams: Kids, spouses, kids’ friends, good health, good fortune, good health and fortune. So when I wake up every morning and ask myself what I want to happen today, I am just able to make good choices in my life and enjoy the little moments like them every day.

The company’s term for this, or some variation of it, is “conscious consumerism.” Written by Bonnie McBeth and Brandon Weiner for the Quartz Influence and Engagement Summit, I thought the blog was great, and I thought their presentation and the blog above are quite good.
