Preview the Modern Art of Howard Guggenheim

Bold and Innovative — Paintings by Joseph Botticelli, Matteo Beccari, Minerva Teixeira, and others

September 28-December 31 at the Guggenheim Museum, 621 Fifth Ave., between 80th and 81st streets. Open Mon.-Sat. 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sun. 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

From an exhibition that continues from today through Dec. 31, the Guggenheim will showcase 25 paintings from the private collection of Claudia Halabi and her husband, Howard Guggenheim. These include works by Tiepolo, Titian, Rubens, Piet Mondrian, Titian, Leonardo da Vinci, Tiepolo, Murillo, Schiele, and many more. Admission is $25 for adults; $12 for children and students.

Tour a Painting-A Book: Inside the Collection of Claudia Halabi and Howard Guggenheim

October 15, 4 p.m., 1010 Fifth Ave., between 80th and 81st streets.

Susan Asbell leads a behind-the-scenes tour at the Guggenheim of the collection of author, collector, and former chief executive of The New York Times Company, Claudia Halabi. The tour is $15. For tickets and information call 212-734-8973 or visit guggenheim.org.
